A new web browser i'm beginning to like... Shiira!
[Mood] Zzzzz (Sleepy, about to sleep.)
I've been trying to search for the best browser available for Macs. The most popular ones are Safari, Firefox, Omniweb, Camino, et al... But they all seem to be resource hoggers at times. especially Firefox. It just seems that 1GB of RAM aint enough. I don't wanna spend on additonal RAM. So i opted to just search for an alternative browser. I stumbled upon Shiira. (For thee honor of Grayskull! hehehe)
It's based on the Mac Webkit engine. Kinda like Safari plus a touch of Camino and Firefox. It's smooth, simple, and lightweight (so far). It runs Java applets smoothly, and renders Flash objects pretty much like Safari or the others. The only thing i've seen so far that I don't like is that Javacript menus get to be quirky sometimes. Else, it works fine. The page tab even has a loader icon (for every tab) that tells how far the page has completed loading. It has a sidebar (drawer style) that contains rss, downloads, bookmarks and other stuff. Oh, by the way, did I tell you that it feels like it loads on application start faster than safari?
I think i'll stick with this one for a while. test it out if it holds up to its snappy ability.
Though Chain: Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy. Goodnight.

You should try Flock 0.7.4. Works better than Safari and Shiira when rendering those rich-text editors online.
