SM Mall of Asia!!!

[Mood] :)~ (Cool!)

I went to SM Mall of Asia yesterday after OJT. Gosh, it was huge! Although at first glance, it looks as long as SM MegaMall, when you tour it, it's pretty wide and not just long.

The indoors are pretty with lots of skylights and atriums.

We visited the IMAX theater, but the shows were both documentaries (Everest 2d and Nascar 3d). So we decided not to watch and just wait for next time for a better movie.

We went around for some nice place to eat, and we were enticed to eat at this Japanese place named Sakae Sushi.

They have a conveyer that goes around the restaurant to feature their offerings. If you happen to fancy what you see, you simply pick up the plate and eat the food. They also have an lcd display in each table to show the menu. a mouse is present for you to click through their interactive menu and to place orders or to call for assistance.

The food is quite ok. But I think they're in the pricier side. a small serving of susshi (just 2 pieces) is already 89 bucks. a serving of 6 pieces of maki is 189. and that doesn't include VAT and service charge yet. Bottomless iced tea is 89 bucks too. but i'm charging the whole thing to experience.

So what's the real deal? a platter of mixed sushi and maki (around 20 pieces), 2 glasses of bottomless iced tea, and a bowl of ramen which serves 2 people set us back for 1300 bucks for the whole deal. It's not cheap I tell you, but still the place is different and the crew is quite friendly. They play J-POP music allthroughout and they have wasabe, and pickled ginger (tastes like) on the table as condiments.

Though Chain: Sorry I don't have much photos of SM Mall of Asia from the outside. My phone lost batt in the middle of taking pics.

the prices vary. for example, they're showing 2 movies right now. Everest costs 150 bucks while nascar 3d costs 200 bucks. and to think, these are just documentaries. I guess superman would be around 200-300 bucks. ;)
