Yellow Cab at 1am!

[Mood] :D (Hehehe.)

The Hunnypot, the Ozzie, and I were watching episodes of Malcom in the Middle when in one episode, they had this pizza place that served pizza which looked o-so-good! right after watching the episode (around past 12), all 3 of us were suddenly craving for pizza. Ring ring Yellow Cab Katipunan... "Sorry, sir, we're already closed, Yellow Cab in People Support Makati is the only one open at this hour..."

To make the long story short, we traveled the distance from Katipunan to Makati to eat Yellow Cab pizza at 1am. Ordered a sumptuous 14" New York's finest which we were able to finish (considering I already ate dinner prior). Pizza somehow never tasted so tasty! Yum! Here's the Ozzie and the Hunnypot having fun with the pizza.

Silly beaws!

Though Chain: Which pizza do you guys like best? that's based on taste, amount(size), and price.

New Vidcard, yey!

[Mood] :D (Now to find time to play games...)

I purchased a new vidcard yesterday for my dual core desktop. I had limited budget, so I dedided to just buy a Powercolor ATI X550. It's a 256MB GDDR (128bit) vidcard clocked at 400Mhz. I installed it in the afternoon, and tried playing a few games. pretty decent actually. Now I just have to test it out on real 3D games. Maybe I'll reinstall HL2 and set all the settings on high and see how it fairs. I'm not really a specialist on videocards, so my rating would probably just be based on the texture quality and the speed. But so far, I'm liking it, and it's actually very affordable. Now all I need is to find time for gaming.

Though Chain: Prior to this my vidcard was a 128MB GFX 5500 on my previous single core P4. I played HL2 and finished it with just the mid settings coz the framerate drops to almost 4fps when I use the highest settings. Now it's time to see if this baby will make daddy poud. hehehe.

It's been a while...

[Mood] :) (I'm just taking my dear precious time...)

It's been a while since I've last posted. So I decided to tell you about the new things in my life. First, I went back to playing dota with friends after they started to play the game again. Go Luna... Moonfang! hehehe. ;)

I decided to take home my dual core pc and just use it, and sell my less than one year old LGA P4. Now I just have to buy a new dedicated vidcard since the builtin intel express 950 chip sucks at 3d games. as in slooowwww... But the proc is nice and cool. the bundled fan is actually quiet. I just think i should switch from pata to sata. so maybe i'll sell my 2 month old drive in a month or so and replace it with a sata one. but i guess i'll buy that vidcard first, then upgrade my ram to 1.5GB, then buy that sata hdd. so raket nanaman ito all the way. hehehe.

we'll be having che's despidida tomorrow at burgoo. she'll be leaving for good for the US as her whole family is migrating there. Honestly, I think we'll all miss the hunnypottie. and soon, the ottie will follow her na rin. good luck on your career in the US che! sulitin na natin ang last few days of dota!

Oi! manlilibre ba ang june-july celebrators (celebrants sounds so much better, i guess i'm just used to using it)? Kelan ang pakain? wala yata akong naririnig na plans ah! hmmm... always remember, the tummy never forgets! hehehe.

UPCAT application can now be done online. soon, UPCAT applicants will be able to pay their fees online too. hope we get to make the system work by monday (fingers crossed, eyes starting to cross from lack of sleep).

I finally finished my OJT. now all I have to do is submit my journal, and get my evaluation filled up by HP. and, oh yeah, get my allowance na rin. hehehe.

dami ko kwento no? dami rin kasi araw na na-miss ko. ;)

Though Chain: Far at the back of my head as my tummy rumbles at 2:30 in the morning, I wonder when Krispy Kreme would finally open. I sure miss their doughnuts!

Ang Google at ang Pananagalog ko sa pasusulat nito. Bow!

Mood: o_O (WHAT the FUCK?!)

I received an email from Google Adsense last week. As you know, my website has adsense advertisements in it. They said they wanted me to edit my post last january ads.

Don't worry Google, I don't need your damn adsense!

Need to learn Tapestry...

[Mood] - (I'm actually not sure.)

I'm excited that I'm about to learn something new. But at the same time, I'm scared that I won't be able to beat my deadline.

For my project with HP, I'm required to create a resource management webapp. They wanted a new J2EE framework, so I recommended that we try out Tapestry since I was intrigued with their presentation layer. They use HTML tags instead of JSTL which is fine with me because I don't really like JSTL. The whole concept to me is out of whack. I would rather use scriptlets and JSP tags than use JSTL. I guess I'm just not comfortablee with it. Anyway, the beauty of using HTML tags is that web designers who deevelop the front end need not to learn a new coding scheme since they only have to reemember additional HTML tags in the Tapestry template. This, they say, is truly a separation of presentation from logic. I just hope I get to be acquainted fast with the technology, since I'll be implementing not just the presentation layer, but also the business logic. I'm done with the database design and the the implementation of the schema. So that's one down. I've also set up the server and the libraries. Now I just have to start reading about the implementation of Tapestry, and start doing some exercises. Even my Delta has Tomcat+Tapestry. Wish me luck

Though Chain: Does anyone have a resource book for Tapestry? Peram naman o!
