From where I'm sitting

[Mood] :O (I'm now amorning person. I have no choice.)



By now (into my 3rd week in the new job), I'm already getting used to waking up early in the morning. The office is still in the process of rearranging and maximizing space for the additional people, so I still don't have a desk assigned to me. So here I am, a nomad in the office, setting up my Delta on vacant desks, although usually I stay in the conference room. Yun nga lang, pag may meeting, evicted ako. hahaha. But it's ok, so far the room has a nice view of Ortigas. Just this morning, I got word that the new PCs are coming, which means I don't have to bring Delta to work everyday. Although I'm used to bringing Delta wherever I go, it's nice just to have a spare PC in the office in times that I'm lazy to lug around the extra weight. hehehe.




Though Chain: I'm actually liking the workplace. :D

Work + Last Sem is almost suicide

[Mood] :) (Wish me luck)

I just accepted a full time job in this IT company in Ortigas. The people are nice, compensation is good, I get to go to work in casual clothes, and work hours are flexible. Although, since I'm on my last semester in UP, It's a bit taxing to work and study full time. Suki na ako ng MRT sa araw-araw na pag-commute to UP and Ortigas. hahaha. Although tiring, it keeps me alive and kicking. My day never has a dull moment coz I'm always on the move. I share a dual role as a web artist and a product manager by the way. So I still do web work and will learn new skills in product development planning. Excited, but I hope I can balance them both. Wish me luck. Sana hindi ako bumulagta sa EDSA. hahaha




Though Chain: It took me a week before I told my mom I was already working. hahaha. I think I was afraid she'd reprimand me and tell me to focus on my last sem. Yet, she was very understanding, and yes, she did remind me to put my studies on top priority. And I hope I will. and so will work.

Just plain pathetric! Grrrr!

Kakainis! Sometimes, I just can't take watching TV in the bus on the way home. Parati nalang channel 7, eh nanonood ako ng Deal or No deal. hahaha. Mejo nakakainis parin ang Captain Barbell, although I kinda like Atlantika, it's a different concept, and the effects aren't really bad. But the worst may be "A Rosy Life". Now this is just waaaayyyyy too much to swallow. For those who have no idea what it is, it's a Koreanovela. The plot is, there's this woman named Betsy who has 2 daughters and a husband who philanders. Betsy may just be the MOST PATHETIC character i've ever seen on TV. Her voice is utterly annoying, she's an epitomy of a stupid martyr, and she has terminal cancer. Her husband left her long before she found out she has cancer. Her in laws hate her and like the new girl of the husband, and she resorts to drinking and solitude to forget her problems. wawa naman her kids. As in, she's not the type you'd like to watch kasi she's pitiful! I guess the reason why I'm so angry is that it sends the wrong values to the audience. My dad died of cancer, but that didn't stop him before that from working to continue supporting us. When he died, my mom took over the responsibility of raising 4 kids and putting us all through school in a private Catholic school while she worked as a teacher and juggled numerous sideline tutorials. Now she's what a heroine is. She rises above a situation for the sake of her kids (unlike pathetic betsy). So GMA 7, if you think A Rosy Life is so great, put a sock in it, coz the cultural values are all twisted! Leche, I don't like watching a show at the end of a tiring work day just to feel frustrated at how depressingly stupid, annoying and pathetic a so called heroine can get. So majorly screwed up!




Though Chain: May ad pa sila, with Teri Aunor saying, "Grabe ang pagkamartyr ni Betsy (With a smile of agreement and content)". And should that actually be good?! Hello?! If you don't assert for what's right and rightfully yours, you'd better start looking for a shovel and dig your own grave! Kung gusto mong magpakamartyr, ikaw nalang! Kaya maraming tao ang naloloko at naaapi sa bansa natin eh dahil sa sinusulong nyong kultura! bwiset!

The new Macbook C2D, I want one!!!

Apple finally updated their Macbook line. The pros were already updated last month. This time, the Macbooks (black and white) have been updated with C2D. I want the white 2.0Ghz model. the black one isn't really worth it in my opinion. kinda expensive for me, yet I have to admit it's pretty. So I have to start saving up to get this upgrade. But I was thinking of waiting for the release of OS X Leopard so that I wouldn't have to buy an OS upgrade. Afterall, they said it would be released by January or Feb. Hopefully, I'll have cash by then. hehehe. Sana lang!




Though Chain: Sana makabili ako ng bagong ipod sa pasko. Santa Claus, sana magpaulan ka ng mga bagong cute na ipod shuffles. Small and really cute, I really like them! hahaha

Back from Sagada.

[Mood] :D (Now that was fun!)



We just came back from Sagada last Monday evening. Sobrang ikli lang ng trip namin. The travel to Sagada took us 11 hours up and 11 hours back to Manila. It was quite butt-flattening, but well worth it when you get to see the Sumaging Cave and trek inside it for 3 hours in freezing water. Brrrrr! hahaha. Really Cool! We're planning to go back there this March for a longer trip. Sama kayo? We're gonna go back with a vengeance since we didn't get to see much sights kasi dumating si Paeng the tropical typhoon. bummer. Plus the fact na our supposed to be trusty waterproof disposable camera from Kodak turned out to be major lousy and developed only 6 shots out of 27. No pics of the cave inside. huhuhu. double bummer. Next time, ipagsasasapalaran ko na yung totoong camera. lagay ko nalang sa ziplock bag para waterproof. hahaha.
